I’m so far behind that this show has already ended. I blame school Fanta. In order to catch up, I’ve decided to split the last 8 episodes into 2 posts.

I think that’s supposed to be foreshadowing or something. Idk this is too hard on my brain.
I thought I would get so see some aerial battles but all I got was Mitty and Chiharu raising death flags. They need to stop it.

Episode 7
Shizuka, are you trying to give us a hint?
The enemy is not as stupid or primitive as the Isla forces thought them to be. Hell, they’re far more advanced. Isla is in for a rough time.

By the way, they did not just fire 1 flare then go out of there, they kept firing until the Isla torpedo planes engaged the enemy escort bombers.
Mitty makes the ultimate sacrifice.

I’m pretty sure that’s one of the planes used by the Luftwaffe during WWII…
Continuation from last episode now with ground combat too. Mitty was right about Isla’s forces and the Sky Clan operating with entirely different combat doctrines.
Wait a minute… Fausto is leading this OP? Are they seriously going to sit there and wait for the enemy planes to get within their range?

Well… so much for that defense operation.
Those tactics are definitely not suited against single-seat fighter planes. Pretty much the trainee squadron from the Fausto’s side no longer exist. From Kal-el’s squad, the only named character who died is Wolfgang if you don’t count Mitty from the previous episode. Marco, Wolfgang’s pilot, did not die because he shows up in the next episode. I suppose the no-names from Kal-el’s squad probably participated in the ground defense as well.
Mysterious pilot has arrived to give support to Isla’s defenses! Will we find out who the pilot is in this episode?
Kinda… Guess we’ll have to wait a while before we meet this Fana Levamme.

Yeah I went stitch crazy on episodes 7 and 8 but I felt these episodes needed some justice rather than me just going “Oh look Mitty cashed in both his and Chiharu’s death flags and the nobles squad got wiped out of existence”. I’ll try to tone it down on the next post and have it more in line with the episode 3-5 post.
