Fall 2010: Planning to watch

With the start of each new season, I plan to roll through a list of all shows I planned to watch, and give my thoughts on the first episode of each show, as well as my plans on following it here.

Panty and Stocking
I actually had not planned to watch this at all, but gave episode 1 a shot after /a/ started raving over it…in hindsight, that should have been the first clue. I didn’t even finish the first episode. I give Gainax credit for trying something different, but the show is…not for me.

Iron Man
Interesting art style. I like what is getting set up here. It also looks to me like it’s following the live action Movie(s). I’m interested to continue for now. I might follow this on the blog.

Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls
I know I’ll watch it…and then watch it again when the uncensored comes out. Probably no reason to blog about it though. It’s eye candy. No need for commentary.

Yosuga no Sora
The first episode ending up being pretty…hot. (haha) Definitely going to watch more, and likely going to blog. I also love the parody bit at the end reminiscent of Welcome to Lodoss Island. I hope that is part of every episode.

A Certain Magical Index: Season 2
Episode 1 opened slow. I expected this though, as they needed to showcase characters and get details down for people who needed reminders (or didn’t bother watching season 1 at all). I don’t care though. I’ve been looking forward to this, and will definitely be blogging on this show.

Sora no Otoshimono: Forte
I’ve been looking forward to season 2. I loved season 1 and have read some of the manga. Season 2 opened with the comedy I love (I lost it at the OP) and moved into the serious near the end. One of my favorite things about this series has always been the near perfect blend of drama/action moments with cute/funny ones. Admittedly, the manga does it to such a level of badassedness that it is hard for the anime to comare. However, the anime does things at a different pace as well, so it feels fresh watching it. Defintiely blogging this show.

My Little Sister Can’t be this Cute
It sounded cute, so I decided to take a look. The animation is very nice, and episode 1 amused me, so I’m definitely following it for now. I’ll decided later whether or not to blog on it.

MM!
Well-animated for the most part with some moments of QUALITY. The content of the show just didn’t appeal to me though. Chances are low I’ll continue watching this.

Fortune Arterial: Red Promise
Looks like the typical H-game anime adaptation. Nothing extraordinary from what I see. The pretty boy vampire is a big turn off…I’ll watch it for now, but won’t be blogging on it.
